The Village of Elk Rapids is seeking a qualified, energetic DPW Superintendent – salary $70,000 – $80,000 DOQ, plus exceptional benefits including excellent health care, dental and vision, 14 paid holidays, vacation, MERS retirement. This department head is responsible for 10 employees and the following services: water, wastewater, waste collection, streets, and parks. Reports directly to the Village Manager.  Demonstrated record of high-quality customer service is critical. The successful candidate will have demonstrated budgeting and organizational skills, strong verbal and written communications skills, and the interpersonal skills to work effectively with individuals and organizations throughout the community. The Village office will be closed on Monday June 19, 2023 in recognition of Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. The office will reopen on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

The Elk Rapids Harbor Commission has cancelled its June 2023 regular meeting.

BRIDGE STREET HOUSING PROJECT PROPOSAL REVIEWS – JUNE 28, 2023

The Bridge Street Housing Project Review Team will be holding two review sessions on June 28, 2023, at the Elk Rapids Government Center. At 3:00 p.m. the team will host Homestretch to go over their proposal, and at 4:00 the Revonare proposal will be reviewed. These informational sessions will give the team an opportunity to go over the proposals and ask clarifying questions. No decisions on how to move forward will happen at these sessions. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The Elk Rapids Harbor Commission will hold their next regular meeting on Tuesday June 13, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., not on Monday as previously scheduled.

The Elk Rapids Downtown Development Authority Informational meeting to be held during the regular council meeting  on June 20, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Government Center in Elk Rapids located at 315 Bridge St.
