Ames Street Lighting Bid Deadline/Opening
Bid Opportunity: Ames Street Streetscape Lighting
The Village of Elk Rapids is now accepting sealed bids for the Ames Street Streetscape Lighting Project. This project includes final electrical design and installation of a complete lighting package for Ames Street from US 31 to Bass Street, along with restoration of the project area.
📌 Bid Deadline: Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (local time). Bids will be publicly opened and read at the Village Offices, 315 Bridge Street, Elk Rapids.
📌 Mandatory Pre Bid Meeting: Tuesday, January 6, 202,6 at 10:00 a.m.Location: Village Offices, 315 Bridge Street, Elk Rapids. Only bidders who attend the pre-bid meeting will be eligible to submit a bid.

Wednesday January 14-Green Elk Rapids presents the award-winning documentary "All Too Clear: Beneath the Surface of the Great Lakes."
The documentary uses cutting edge technology to explore how the invasive quagga mussels are changing the Great Lakes eco-system at a scale not seen since the glaciers.
