Water Odors

You may notice that your water has a sulphur-like odor.  This is not harmful (and it is not sulfur). This odor occurs because our water system lines contain about 200,000 gallons of water in the busy season, but currently contain about 80,000 gallons. For cold water, you can let the water run for a few minutes which may help dispel the odor. For hot water, hydrogen peroxide (not chlorine) can be added to the hot water heater, BUT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HIRE A PROFESSIONAL PLUMBER for this service.
